- Moz's yearly prices read 'billed for your first year': $950, $1,719 and $2,868. It doesn't say whether renewal costs the same, so check in your account.
- A 'tracked site' is a campaign: your site plus three competitors, tracked across up to four search engines per keyword.
- AI prompts are checked weekly on every plan that includes them. The 4 AI models are GPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Perplexity.
What changes the real price
Moz sells extra capacity in small steps. These are the add-on prices from its pricing FAQ and its AI limits table.
Extra users
$49/mo each
On any plan. Add them under Account & Billing, then assign seats under Manage Users.
Extra campaigns (tracked sites)
$10/mo each
Each campaign tracks a site plus three competitors.
Extra tracked keywords
$20/mo per 200
Standard includes 300 keywords, so doubling to 600 costs $40 a month more.
Extra pages crawled
$15/mo per 50,000
Crawl capacity for Site Crawl.
Extra keyword queries
$10/mo per 10,000
For Keyword Explorer. Standard includes 150 a month.
Keyword lists and link tracking lists
$25/mo per 5 lists
Each type is priced separately.
AI Visibility dashboards and prompts
$20 each; $50 per 100 prompts
Extra AI Visibility dashboards are $20 each, and extra tracked prompts are $50 per 100.
Free plan, trial, refunds and cancelling
- Free version
- A free Moz Community account gives limited access to Keyword Explorer, Link Explorer and MozBar: 10 keyword queries, 10 competitive research queries and 10 backlink queries a month, and no campaigns. Moz also runs free tools such as Domain Analysis, which gives Domain Authority.
- Free trial
- For the Medium plan on monthly billing only, and it needs a valid card. You can cancel renewal at any time and keep access for the rest of the trial. Changing plan or buying an add-on ends the trial and starts billing at once. One trial per customer. Moz's pricing page and trial help article don't state how many days it lasts.
- Refunds
- None. Moz says it does not offer refunds of any kind under its Terms of Use. Cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period, so you keep access until then.
- Cancelling
- You can cancel or change plan at any time. Moz asks for cancellation at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge. There's no way to pause a subscription.
- Billing
- Paying yearly takes 20% off the base plan. Add-ons follow your plan's billing cadence, so an annual plan can't have monthly add-ons, and they take effect immediately.
Is Moz worth it for a startup or small business?
Our read: A reasonable entry suite if you want Domain Authority and AI prompt tracking for less than Semrush or Ahrefs, and 300 keywords and one user are enough. Past that, the add-ons and the Medium jump add up quickly.
Worth paying for if
- You report Domain Authority, or want Moz's link metrics next to keyword research.
- You want AI prompt tracking inside an SEO suite at the lowest price here. Standard's 150 prompts come with the $99 plan, against $129 for SE Ranking Core (100 a day) and $199 for Semrush Starter (50 a day). Moz checks weekly where those check daily, and Ahrefs sells prompt-only packages from $50 a month.
- You run one to three sites and track a few hundred keywords.
Skip it, or wait, if
- You need more than 300 keywords or more than one user. A second seat is $49 on top of $99, and 200 more keywords are $20.
- You need daily tracking. Moz's prompt tracking is weekly.
- You want a safety net. There's no refund, no pause, and the free trial is only for the Medium plan.
What it costs in practice: Two people on Standard pay $99 plus $49: $148 a month, still with 300 keywords and 3 sites. Medium is $179 and already includes 2 users, 10 sites and 1,500 keywords, so for $31 more you get five times the keywords.

Other plans to price it against
Vendor prices read on the same day, from each vendor’s own pages.
Starter is $29/mo for light use, monthly only. Ahrefs Free covers sites you verify. Ahrefs Lite is $129/mo.
$30 more than Moz Standard ($129/mo, $103.20 billed yearly) but tracks 2,000 keywords and 100 AI prompts daily, with a 14-day trial and no card.
Costs more: $139/mo, 500 keywords tracked daily, no AI prompts below Starter ($199).
The wider shortlist.
Where LaunchRanked fits
Autopilot ($49/mo at the founding price for the first 100 customers, then $99/mo) doesn't measure Domain Authority and has no link index, so it isn't a Moz alternative. It does the publishing that research tools leave to you:
- Writes and publishes up to 30 checked articles a month to your CMS, at a pace set by your domain's age.
- Rewrites titles and snippets on pages already ranking on page 1–2 that people don't click, applied after you approve.
- Tracks 25 prompts across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude (not Google AI Overviews).
- Emails a results report every Monday.
If you're paying for Moz mostly to find what to write, but the writing isn't getting done, that's the part Autopilot covers, starting with a 7-day free trial. We sell Autopilot, so weigh this section accordingly.
Frequently asked questions

As of 8 October 2026, Moz Pro lists Standard at $99, Medium at $179 and Large at $299 a month on monthly billing, or $79, $143 and $239 a month when you pay yearly (Moz says 20% off; its yearly prices read 'billed for your first year'). Does Moz Pro have a free trial or a free version?
Both, with limits. The free trial is for the Medium plan on monthly billing only and needs a card; Moz's pages don't state its length. A free Moz Community account gets 10 keyword queries, 10 competitive research queries and 10 backlink queries a month, plus limited MozBar access.
Does Moz give refunds?
No. Moz says it does not offer refunds of any kind under its Terms of Use. Cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period, and Moz asks you to cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. There's no pause option.
How much do extra users and limits cost on Moz Pro?
Extra users are $49 a month each on any plan. Other add-ons: $10 a month per extra campaign, $15 per 50,000 extra pages crawled, $20 per 200 extra keywords, $10 per 10,000 keyword queries and $25 per 5 keyword lists or link tracking lists. Extra AI Visibility dashboards are $20 each and extra prompts $50 per 100.
What's a cheaper or free alternative to Moz Pro?
Moz's own $49 Starter plan covers one site with 50 tracked keywords and no AI prompts. Ahrefs Free covers sites you own at no cost and Ahrefs Starter is $29 a month. A free Moz Community account and our free tools (Domain Rating checker, website authority checker, keyword difficulty checker) cover single lookups. SE Ranking Core is $30 more than Moz Standard but tracks 2,000 keywords daily.
Is Moz Pro worth it for a small business or startup?
Standard at $99 is the lowest-priced suite plan with AI prompt tracking among those priced on this site (150 prompts, checked weekly), but it has one user, three sites and 300 keywords. It's worth it if you want Moz's Domain Authority and link metrics and your needs fit those limits. If you need more keywords or users, compare SE Ranking Core at $129.

Read from moz.com/products/pro/pricing and Moz's help articles on 8 October 2026. The pricing page's HTML carries a 'save up to 40%' banner from a November to December 2025 promotion; the page's own script hides it outside those dates, so the prices here are list prices.
