Privacy policy

This policy explains what LaunchRanked (operated by Piyush Aaryan, “we”) collects when you use launchranked.com, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. The short version: we collect only what we need to run the site, we don’t sell it, and we don’t use ad trackers.

What we collect

When you join a waitlist or apply

Forms for early access, directory submission and Done-for-you collect your email address and, where the form asks, your website and an optional note about your business. We also record which form you used and when.

When you launch a product

The launch form collects your name, email address, optional X (Twitter) handle, and information about your product: name, tagline, description, website, logo, category and pricing model.

Product information and your maker name (and X handle, if you give one) are shown publicly on your product page once the listing is approved. Your email address is never shown publicly.

When you upvote or submit

To stop duplicate votes and rate-limit spam, we combine your IP address and browser user-agent with a secret value and store only a one-way hash of the result. We do not store your raw IP address or user-agent with your vote or submission, and the hash can’t be turned back into them.

When you use our free tools

Some tools fetch a URL you enter (for example, to read a robots.txt file). We use that URL to run the check and show you the result. We don’t save tool inputs to our database.

Server logs

Like any website, the infrastructure that serves our pages processes standard request data (such as IP address, user-agent and the page requested) to deliver the site, keep it secure and debug errors.

What we don’t do

• We don’t use advertising trackers or sell your data.
• We don’t sell, rent or trade your email address. We only pass on contact details when a service you ordered needs them (for example, a directory that requires a contact email for your listing).

How we use your information

• To review, publish and moderate product listings.
• To contact you about your launch, waitlist spot, application or order.
• To deliver services you ask for, such as directory submission, where we submit your product information to third-party directories on your behalf.
• To prevent abuse: duplicate votes, spam submissions and automated misuse.

Where it’s stored

The site runs on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Workers), and our database is Cloudflare D1. Cloudflare processes data on our behalf as our hosting provider. When payments are introduced, they will be handled by a payment processor; we won’t store card details ourselves.

How long we keep it

Waitlist entries are kept until the product or service launches and for as long as you remain interested; ask and we’ll delete yours. Product listings stay up as permanent pages unless you ask us to remove them or we remove them under our terms. Vote and submission hashes are kept with the records they protect.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to remove your product listing, by emailing hello@launchranked.com. We’ll respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law (for example, the GDPR or UK GDPR), including the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Children

LaunchRanked is a service for businesses and isn’t directed to children under 16.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
