What SEO and content tools cost in 2026

Prices checked . Plans change, so check the vendor’s own page before you buy.

Six tools people search for by price: Semrush, Ahrefs, Similarweb, SE Ranking, Jasper and Moz. Each page lists every current plan with its monthly and yearly price, the limits and add-ons that move the real bill, the free plan or trial, the refund policy, who each plan fits and what to price it against.

Every figure was read from the vendor's own pricing and help pages on 8 October 2026, in US dollars. Similarweb is the exception: its site is blocked on our network, so we read it through searches restricted to its domain and its Help Center, and its page says so. These pages contain no affiliate links.

Autopilot tracks 25 prompts about your own site across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude as part of its price, and not Google AI Overviews. It isn’t a prompt-research tool; see what it does.

How to read these prices

The plan price is the floor, not the bill

Seats, keywords and AI prompts are where it grows. An extra user costs $45 or more on Semrush, $40 to $100 on Ahrefs, $49 on Moz and from $16 on SE Ranking. Jasper Pro can't add seats at all, and Similarweb's self-serve plans include one.

Yearly is cheaper, but it's one payment, and refunds are rare

Yearly billing takes 14% off Jasper Pro, 16% to 20% off Semrush, Ahrefs, SE Ranking and Moz, and 37% off Similarweb's entry plan. Only Semrush has a refund window (7 days, annual plans only). Ahrefs refunds rarely, SE Ranking only if the service wasn't delivered, and Similarweb, Jasper and Moz don't refund.

Tracking isn't counted the same way

Semrush tracks keywords daily and SE Ranking counts a keyword once per search engine. Ahrefs updates rankings weekly, and Moz checks AI prompts weekly. Compare what you'd really track, and how often, not the headline number.

Trials differ more than prices do

Semrush gives 7 days with exports switched off. SE Ranking gives 14 days with no card. Jasper and Similarweb take a card and bill automatically when the trial ends, and Moz's trial covers one plan only. Ahrefs has no trial, but a permanent free plan for sites you own.

Free options cover more than you'd expect

Google Search Console is free and shows your real clicks, impressions and positions. Ahrefs Free and Semrush's free plan cover your own site and occasional lookups, and our free tools cover one-off checks. Pay when you'd use the data every week.

Free tools that cover part of the job

Single lookups don't need a subscription. Each of these answers one question the paid tools charge for, and each page says what it leaves out.

Frequently asked questions

How were these prices checked?

We read each vendor's own pricing page and its help or terms pages on 8 October 2026, from an Indian IP address, and recorded the prices shown in US dollars. Where a page carried its plan data, we checked the visible prices against it. Similarweb's site is blocked on our network, so for it we used searches restricted to its domain and its Help Center, and its page says so.

Why might a vendor's page show a different price?

Vendors change plans, run promotions, show local currency or add tax at checkout, and some show different prices to signed-in customers. Ahrefs, for example, showed its Starter plan as €27 on one page when we read it from India and $29 on its pricing page. We list the price a visitor sees, in dollars. Check the vendor's page before you pay.

Which of these tools is cheapest?

By entry price: Ahrefs Starter at $29 a month (light use, monthly only), Moz Starter at $49 (one site), Jasper Pro at $59 to $69 a seat, then Moz Standard at $99 and Similarweb's AI-search plan at $99 billed yearly. The first full-size suite plans are Ahrefs Lite and SE Ranking Core at $129 and Semrush's SEO plan at $139. Prices alone mislead, because the plans track very different numbers of keywords and prompts.

Do you earn anything if I buy one of these?

Not from these pages. They contain no affiliate links, and our links to the vendors' own pages are marked nofollow. LaunchRanked sells its own products, including Autopilot. Where one fits a reader's problem we say so and label it, and where it doesn't, we leave it out.
