Rank Math vs Yoast SEO

Rank Math and Yoast SEO are the two most common WordPress SEO plugins: wordpress.org shows 10+ million active installations for Yoast and 4+ million for Rank Math. Both free versions handle titles, meta descriptions, sitemaps and schema. Rank Math's free version also includes a redirection manager and 404 monitor, which Yoast keeps for Premium.

At the time of writing (September 2026), Yoast Premium is $118.80 a year per site. Rank Math PRO was on sale at €6.99/mo billed yearly (renewing at €8.99/mo) for unlimited personal sites, and adds a keyword rank tracker. Rank Math's AI features are a separate subscription; Yoast's are included in Premium.
