Submit to MacNative
A hand-picked directory of Mac apps that are native or compiled to a native binary, sorted into categories such as developer tools, productivity, utilities and writing. Each listing gets a page with screenshots, pricing and a link to the maker’s site, and the site also runs a weekly launches board and a newsletter of picks roughly every two weeks. The editor tests submissions one at a time.

Have your assets ready
Name, tagline, description, logo and screenshots. The checklist below covers what to prepare so you can fill the form in one go.
Fill in the form carefully
Pick the most specific category the form offers and write the description for the people who browse MacNative (Mac users who want native, well-designed apps, including readers of its twice-monthly picks email), not for search engines.
Wait for review
A person reviews submissions, so it can take a while. Once it’s live, check the link on your listing points to the right page.
Tips for MacNative
- Native means Swift, SwiftUI, AppKit or Objective-C, or a systems language compiled to a real binary (Rust, C/C++, Go, Zig). Electron, NW.js and web-UI-only Tauri apps are rejected; mixed cases are judged one by one.
- Have a square icon and at least one real screenshot ready, plus one plain sentence on what the app does. For a borderline app, add a line on what makes it native.
- The app must be downloadable today, run on a current macOS and have been updated within roughly the last year.
- A rejected app can be fixed and resubmitted. Pro buys priority review and promotion, but the submit page says every submission gets a fair look and no listing is guaranteed.

What to prepare
The basics every directory asks for, plus what matters most for general web directories.
- Product name and a one-line tagline (about 60 characters)
- A short description (1–2 sentences) and a longer one (a short paragraph)
- Square logo, at least 256×256 px, PNG or SVG
- 2–3 screenshots at a consistent size
- The exact page you want the link to point to
- Pricing model (free, freemium or paid) and a contact email
- Consistent business name, URL and contact details (use them the same way everywhere)
- The most specific category the directory offers
- A plain description with no keyword stuffing
- A business address or country, if the form asks
Is MacNative worth it?
Good for your SEO foundation
MacNative reviews listings by hand and the listing link we inspected was followed. That combination is what makes a directory link worth having for a new site.
- Domain Rating by Ahrefs: 30 (moderate). That's the strength of links to the whole site, not a promise about what your listing passes on.
- No Tranco rank on record, so we can’t say how much traffic it gets.
- A person reviews submissions, so expect a wait and a real quality bar.
- There’s a free option. Start free and only pay for upgrades if the traffic justifies it.
This verdict is worked out from the facts above with fixed rules (link type, review, price, Domain Rating by Ahrefs, Tranco rank), not paid for. The directory has no say in it.
