Newsletters that feature tools are a different kind of listing: an editor picks a handful of products for an issue, it goes to an inbox list, and most clicks arrive within a day or two. Many run a free submission form alongside paid sponsorship slots, and some directories also feature new listings in their own newsletter. Editors choose for their readers, so a pitch that fits the newsletter’s topic and tone matters more than anything else. Read two or three recent issues first. Keep the pitch short: what the tool does, who it’s for and one concrete detail worth quoting. If an issue is archived on the web, the mention can also become a lasting link, so check whether archives are public. Sponsorship can work, but test with one issue before buying several.

How do I pitch a newsletter editor?
Use their submission form if there is one; otherwise a short email. Two or three sentences: what it does, who it’s for, one specific detail they could quote, and a link. No attachments, no follow-up chains.
Is newsletter sponsorship worth it for a new product?
Test one issue first and track clicks and sign-ups with a unique link. Sponsorship works when the audience matches closely; a large general list often performs worse than a small focused one.
Do newsletter features help SEO?
Only if issues are published on the web, and only if the link in the archive is followed. Most of the value is the burst of visitors and being seen by a relevant audience.
