Where to submit a browser extension: 7 directories
Browser extension directories collect add-ons across Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari, usually grouped by what they do: privacy, shopping, writing, tab management, developer tools. They are useful because the official stores are hard to browse by use case and favour extensions that already have many users. A listing here gives a newer extension a page that explains the problem it solves, with a demo and links to every store. Visitors check permissions, whether it is open source and whether it collects data, so answer those up front. If you only support one browser, say which, so you don’t get reviews from people who can’t install it. Directories that list per browser often want each store link separately, and a few also accept userscripts or bookmarklets.

- Extension directories that accept every store link and show a browser badge.
- Privacy or open-source lists, if your extension is open source or collects no data.

Questions about this list
Is it worth publishing to Firefox and Edge before submitting to directories?
If the code allows it, yes. Several directories filter by browser, and each extra store link widens who can install from your listing. Edge accepts most Chrome extensions with little change.
What should a browser extension listing include?
Store links for each browser, one sentence on what it does on the page, the permissions it needs and why, a short GIF of it working, and a link to your privacy policy.
Do extension directories check the extension itself?
Some do a quick install to check it works and matches the description; many only check the store link. Either way, make sure the store listing, the directory text and your site describe the same features.
