Where to submit a Shopify app: 5 directories
For a Shopify app, the Shopify App Store is the main listing and has its own review, requirements and ranking. Everything else supports it: ecommerce tool directories, Shopify-focused lists and agency roundups that merchants read when they are comparing options. Merchants care about what an app does to their store’s speed, what it costs at their order volume and whether it works with their theme. Be specific about pricing (plan price, usage fees, free trial length) and about which Shopify plans you support. Screenshots should show the storefront result and the admin, in that order. A short setup video helps too, because merchants often install and uninstall within minutes if the first screen is confusing. Directories outside the store can also point to your own site, which the app store listing can’t replace.
