Our own free traffic checker is narrower than all of these, and says so: its headline number is estimated Google organic traffic, built on DataForSEO ranking data (search volume times a click rate set by each position a site ranks in), one country at a time. A separate panel estimates Google Ads visits and their cost. It can't see direct, social, referral, email or AI-assistant traffic, and it's a model, not a measurement.

Estimated search traffic for any site or page, with top pages, top keywords and countries. Ahrefs says it's free, unlimited and needs no account. It estimates search traffic only: Ahrefs says its numbers cover organic and paid search, and direct, referral and other traffic aren't taken into account.

A free Website Traffic Checker shows estimated visits, organic and paid traffic, top pages and keywords, backlinks and AI visibility. You can use it once a day without an account; Semrush says a free account lifts that, though its pricing page caps free accounts at 10 reports a day, 1 website and 10 tracked keywords. Semrush says its traffic data starts from a clickstream panel built with hundreds of providers, combined with its backlink and ranking data, so it lists total visits, not just search.

Free: the LaunchRanked traffic checker

Pick a domain and a country. We show estimated monthly Google organic visits, keyword counts by position band and the top 10 keywords by estimated visits, from DataForSEO, plus a separate estimate of Google Ads visits and their cost. It's Google only: direct, social, referral, email and AI-assistant traffic aren't in it. Small sites can be far off, so use it to compare sites, not to report traffic.

Google Search Console shows real Google clicks and impressions for a site you own, and your analytics shows every channel. Neither shows competitors, but for your own site nothing else is as accurate.

Why the numbers disagree

Similarweb models every channel. Ahrefs, SE Ranking and our checker model search traffic from rankings, and Semrush starts from clickstream data. Their numbers differ by design, so compare sites inside one tool and don't mix figures from two tools on one chart.

It's an estimate of Google organic traffic for one country, built from DataForSEO's ranking data: for each keyword a site ranks for in Google's top 100, search volume times a click rate set by that position (DataForSEO trims it when the results page shows ads), added up. A separate panel estimates Google Ads visits. Direct, social, referral, email and AI-assistant traffic aren't included, so a site that gets most of its visits from those will look small.
