Where to submit a European startup: 34 directories
European startups have two layers of directories: pan-European databases and media that cover the whole region, and country-specific ecosystems that often list only local companies. Pan-European sites are read by investors and corporates scouting across borders, so be clear about where you are registered, where the team sits and which markets you serve. Country lists matter for local press, grants and hiring, and many publish in the local language. Some European directories focus on privacy-friendly or EU-hosted software, which suits products that keep data in the EU; say so if yours does, and link to your privacy policy. For a customer-facing product, remember that Europe is many markets: a listing in the language your buyers read usually does better than an English-only one.

Questions about this list
Can a non-EU company list on European directories?
Pan-European directories often cover Europe as a region, including the UK, Switzerland and Norway. Country ecosystem lists usually require a local company or team. Check eligibility on each directory page.
Should I translate my listing for European directories?
For country directories that publish in their own language, yes if you can do it well. For pan-European sites, English is normal.
Is it worth mentioning GDPR or EU data hosting?
Yes, if it’s true and specific: where data is stored, who processes it, and a link to your privacy policy. Some European software lists exist precisely for this.
