Where to submit a design tool: 30 directories
Design directories and resource lists are browsed by designers looking for tools, assets and inspiration, and they judge everything by how it looks. A listing with a sharp cover image and a short motion demo gets clicked; a listing with a blurry screenshot gets skipped, however good the product. Many design directories are curated by one person or a small team, so a friendly, short pitch that explains why their readers would care goes a long way. Say how the tool fits into existing workflows (Figma, Adobe, Framer, code handoff) and what it costs, including any free plan. Galleries that feature websites or apps are a different case: they judge your own site’s design, so submit there only if the site itself is worth showing.

Questions about this list
What images work best for design directories?
A clean cover image at the size the directory asks for, with little or no text, plus a short GIF or video of the tool in use. Designers notice compression and cropping, so export carefully.
Should I pitch the curator personally?
For hand-curated lists, a short note on why the tool is useful to their readers helps. Keep it to a few sentences and don’t follow up more than once.
Are website galleries worth submitting to?
Only if your site is a good example of design. They feature sites for their design, not their product, and their audience is mainly designers looking for inspiration.
