Most launch boards are free to list on. The price difference shows up in what you need to do, or pay, before the link to your site is followed, and in how long the free queue is.

This page puts 11 boards side by side: the condition on the free followed link, the cheapest paid launch, the top tier and the extras each one sells. All prices are one-time per product unless the table says otherwise.

What matters when you compare launch boards

What it takes to get a followed link

Many boards list you for free but only follow the link under a condition: their badge stays on your site, you link back, you collect enough upvotes or you finish in the top 3. Paying usually removes the condition. A link that depends on linking back is a reciprocal exchange, which Google's spam policies mention when it's excessive, and it can stop counting if the badge comes down.

How long the free queue is

Free launches often wait. Uneed assigns a date at most five months out, OpenHunts' free queue is about 60 weeks, Firsto's about 180 days, and Fazier lists within 30 days. The cheapest paid tier is often just a way to skip that wait.

What the top tier actually buys

Top tiers add homepage time, a write-up or extra links. Compare the days on the homepage and the number of links, not the tier name.

One-time or recurring

Launch upgrades on these boards are one-time. Ads and highlights are sold by the week, Uneed Pro is yearly, and MicroLaunch's page doesn't say whether its plans recur.

CodeHype and ScrollLaunch follow the free link while their badge stays on your site, Uneed needs 20 weighted upvotes, TinyLaunch and OpenHunts give it to the top 3, Firsto to the top 3 with a badge, and Fazier's free plan asks for a link back. What's the cheapest paid launch with a guaranteed followed link?

In this table, OpenHunts Premium at $9.90 (shown reduced from $19), then CodeHype Plus at $15, ScrollLaunch Premium at $19 and Firsto Premium at $19.90. On LaunchRanked the link doesn't need a paid plan; it comes with passing review.

Are launch platform prices one-time or monthly?

Why does a badge or link-back requirement matter?

Because the followed link then depends on you linking back. That's a reciprocal exchange, and Google's spam policies list excessive link exchanges as link spam. In practice it also means the link can stop being followed if you remove the badge.
